Chopper Spirals Wildly into Palm Groves at Popular California Shoreline
A helicopter hovering near a crowded southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared online show the helicopter beginning to twirl near Huntington Beach then falling towards the perimeter of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a steps near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five individuals were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the accident on that day.
Three people on the street were hurt. Details on their condition were not yet released.
What led to the incident was not immediately released.
